Continuing with the “corrupted morality” topic and the hypocrisy in which our society lives, I wanted to speak more on the topic of “human equality” that is often spoken of and being mentioned almost everywhere. Today, the agenda of human rights activists main focus points are surrounding women's rights, gender violence, racism, feminism, LGBT rights, among others. The main purpose of these movements is to ensure that all human life is considered and protected in the very same way within society. This “equality” of the human being is the idea that it is important to recognize that all people are equal before the law and that all people should enjoy the same rights without discrimination on grounds of origin, ethnicity, color, gender, language, religion, political opinion or any other condition. Most of these movements, especially feminists, claim that abortion is part of the human rights of women. But if human equality recognizes that all human life has the same value then why declare abortion as part of human rights? Lincoln once said: When the value of human life is based on accidental properties such as skin color or intellect, not only the victim class but all human beings are dehumanized since no one shares these properties equally. The pro-abortion movement believes that the class of human beings who have not yet been born can be reserved for slaughter because according to this movement, babies who have not yet been born lack value-giving properties such as size, level development, and independence. First, the pro-abortion movement cannot articulate why those properties give value. You cannot simply create random criteria for human worth without justifying why that standard is fundamental to the worth and dignity of a human being. There are consequences for everyone when we create our own system of determining the value of a human being. Despite the pro-abortion movement's mantra "women equality,” its ideas are a revival of the same demonic ideas that justified slavery, the dehumanization of an entire class of human beings based on randomly selected criteria of human value that do not give value in the first place. Naomi Wolf, a feminist author, wrote the following in her article titled “Our Bodies, Our Souls”: “we entangle our beliefs in a series of self-delusions, fibs, and evasions. And we risk becoming precisely what our critics charge us with being: callous, selfish, and casually destructive men and women who share a cheapened view of human life…we need to contextualize the fight to defend abortion rights within a moral framework that admits that the death of a fetus is a real death.” The bible never specifically mentions the problem of abortion. However, there are numerous teachings in Scripture that make God's vision of abortion totally clear. Jeremiah 1: 5 tells us that God knows us before forming us in the womb. Psalm 139: 13-16 tells us of God's active role in our creation and formation in the womb. Exodus 21: 22-25 prescribes the same punishment for someone who causes the death of a baby in the womb as for someone who commits murder. This clearly indicates that God views a baby in the womb in the same way that God views a fully developed human being as an adult. Abortion is not a matter of choice of women's rights. It is a matter of life and death of a human being made in the image of God. (Genesis 1: 26-27; 9: 6). God is just, righteous and Mercyful. He is the creator of life.
